Connecting Your SIT Device

Enable Bluetooth, discover your wearable, and pair it with the mobile app.

Last updated 25 February 2026

This guide explains how to pair your SIT wearable sensor with the mobile app over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). You only need to do this once per device — it will reconnect automatically in future sessions.

Before You Start

1.
Enable Bluetooth on your phone

Open your phone's Settings and make sure Bluetooth is turned on.

2.
Grant the app Bluetooth permissions

On first launch the SIT app will ask for Bluetooth and location permissions. These are required for device scanning — tap Allow.

3.
Power on your SIT device

Press and hold the button on your wearable until the LED indicator flashes. This means the device is advertising and ready to pair.

Stay close

Keep your phone within 2–3 metres of the device during pairing for the strongest signal.

Pair Your Device

The app scans for SIT-branded BLE devices and shows them in a list along with signal strength (RSSI) so you can identify the closest unit.

1.
Open the app and tap "Start Session"

The app will begin scanning for nearby SIT devices automatically.

2.
Find your device in the list

Devices appear as SIT-XXXX where XXXX is the unit's serial suffix. Signal bars indicate proximity — more bars means closer.

3.
Tap "Connect"

Select the device you want to pair. A brief connection animation confirms a successful link.

4.
Confirm the connection

The device card will show a green Connected badge. You are ready to assign it to a player and start monitoring.

Troubleshooting Tips

Device not appearing?

Make sure the device is powered on and the LED is flashing. Try moving closer and ensuring no other phone is already connected to it.

1.
Restart the device

Turn the wearable off and on again. This clears any stale connection state.

2.
Restart the app

Force-close the SIT app and reopen it, then try scanning again.

3.
Check battery level

A low battery can weaken the BLE signal. Charge the device and try again.

4.
Reduce wireless interference

Move away from other Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi routers, or microwaves that may cause interference.
